Wow! I feel so high-tech!

Well since I got a laptop for my birthday (2 months early). I found out that I could blog right from my desktop and make everything so much easier. I love this. Haha. Well I know this isn’t about music and I haven’t been posting anything lately, but I just thought I would share.

~Jessica

Oh yeah, and I’m thinking about making another blog sometime soon. I’ll keep you posted on how that’s going. I guess no one’s reading this, so it doesn’t really matter. Oh well…

AC/DC

Okay, this is another one of my all-time favorite bands, AC/DC. They are an Australian rock band that formed in Sydney in 1973. They are classified as classic rock and considered pioneers of heavy metal, they have always called their music rock 'n roll. They were made up of five members: Brain Johnson (lead vocals), Angus Young (lead guitar), Malcom Young (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Cliff Williams (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Phil Rudd (drums, percussion). There were also five other former band members: Dave Evans (lead vocals), Bon Scott (lead vocals), Mark Evans (bass guitar, backing vocals), Simon Wright (drums, percussion), and Chris Slade (drums, percussion).

They have sold more than 200 million albums worldwide and 71 million of those, were just in the United States alone. AC/DC was ranked 4th on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock". MTV also named them 7th on their list of the "Greatest Heavy Metal Bands of All Time". In 2004, they were also ranked 72nd on the Rolling Stone list of "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". Also, check out the book "AC/DC Maximum Rock & Roll: The Ultimate Story of the World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band by Murray Engleheart with Arnaud Durieux".

Some famous songs include: Highway to Hell, You Shook Me All Night Long, Back in Black, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), Thunderstruck, T.N.T., Hells Bells, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheep, High Voltage, Let There Be Rock

Some of my personal favorites include: You Shook Me All Night Long, Thunderstruck, T.N.T. High Votage, It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n Roll), Can I Sit Next to You Girl, The Jack, Girls Got Rhythm, Little Lover, She's Got Balls, Rock 'n Roll SInger, Live Wire

The Beatles

Okay, so lets start with my personal favorite, and possibly one of the greatest bands ever -- The Beatles. They were a rock/pop group that formed in Liverpool, England in the 1960's. The band was made up of four members: John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals), and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). There were also two former members, Stuart Sutcliffe (bass guitar) and Pete Best (drums), however, they did not stay with the band for long. When the band broke up in 1970, the four all started out onto solo careers.

The Beatles have sold over one million albums worldwide and have sold more albums in the U.S. than any other artist. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked them the number one on their list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. There was also a movie, "Across the Universe", that was made to feature Beatles' songs.

Some famous songs include: Please Please Me, Love Me Do, Twist and Shout, It Won't Be Long, All My Loving, I Wanna Be Your Man, A Hard Day's Night, No Reply, Eight Days A Week, Help!, Ticket to Ride, Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, Yellow Submarine, Good Day Sunshine, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, With a Little Help from My Friends, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in the Life, Hello, Goodbye, Penny Lane, All You Need is Love, Back in the U.S.S.R., Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Revolution, Come Together, Here Comes the Sun, Let it Be, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Can't Buy Me Love, Ticket to Ride, Nowhere Man, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude

Some of my personal favorites include: I've Just Seen a Face, Eleanor Rigby, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, A Day in the Life, I am the Walrus, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, All You Need is Love, Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Blackbird, Revolution, Come Together, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes the Sun, Across the Universe, Let it Be, I've Got a Feeling, Nowhere Man, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, Something
